Ben’s Story

Ben Tudhope is aiming to represent Australia at his fourth Paralympic Games, after making his debut at Sochi 2014. Ben was just 14 years old at Sochi, making him the youngest competitor from any country at those Games.

Now a seasoned Para snowboarder more than a decade later, Ben is a bronze medallist from the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Games, in the snowboard cross SB-LL2, and a six-time World Championship medallist, including gold in the snowboard cross at La Molina in 2023.

Ben, who has cerebral palsy, co-captained the Australian Paralympic Team in Beijing, bringing passion, leadership and joy to his sport and inspiring those around him.

Ben’s list of awards and recognition is long, including Paralympics Australia Male Athlete of the Year and Australian Institute of Sport Male Para athlete of the Year in 2022.

Ben’s poetic view of snowboarding – as a blank canvas each athlete interprets in their own way – captures the creativity, freedom and spirit that continues to drive his success.
